Ok here is the skinny on Netipots. Everyone who suffers with sinus problems of any kind such as allergies, asthma, hay fever, snoring and even sleep apnea could really benefit from this inexpensive home tool for health.
Ok, upon first thought I will tell you I had serious reservations on pouring salty warm water UP my nose. Shades of water boarding or getting pool water up my nose sent most of my body screaming NO! But after so many conversations with friends who swore by it and not at it, I was committed (or should have been) to at least try it.
At first attempt I followed the instructions, and remembered a tip from a friend to hum while doing it. Have you ever noticed how long a single second is? It took about 3 before it filled up enough back pressure to run out the lower side of the nose,….slowly. The warm water and salty feeling was too much and I blew it all out in a mess. Determined not to let it get the better of me, I tried again and again, till finally I could really relax with it. I then went to the other nostril to, Lather, rinse, and repeat.
I was amazed that I could actually feel the “empty” walls of my sinuses. Empty or rather emptier than what I was accustom. I have a feeling with regular or at least more frequent use this could resolve a great many inflammation problems and greatly assist the ability of the Lymphatic work for my clients.
In the mean time go see the ladies at Mother Nature’s pantry to get a brief explanation on how to use one and give it a try. I think you will be happy with the results.
In the mean time, stand up straight, take a deep breath, drink a tall glass of water and get a massage. You will breathe easier

Netipot – amazing friend or a personal introduction to Waterboarding?
Wednesday, March 31st, 2010Massage to Help you survive
Monday, March 29th, 2010“I’m a survivor, you’re a survivor,.. wouldn’t you like to be a survivor too?” my apologies to Dr. Pepper. But in truth we are all survivors on a daily basis. The fact that we survive a million assaults on our body’s health on a daily basis is an amazing thing. We have a great design. But it could use a little help! That’s where Massage Therapy comes in.
The world at large uses a lot of chemicals to make our life easier. I am not begrudging that nor am I willing to give up my 21st century comforts. The human body, under optimum conditions can deal with almost any toxin we can breathe, ingest, or absorb. But those “optimum” conditions mean clean water and movement, which we really do not get.
As many as 8 in 10 of us are dehydrated. Yes, probably you. Put down the soda or coffee and drink a glass of water. The musculature has a much larger job beyond walking and running. That very movement moves the fluids in our body. It is the epitome of in with the good and out with the bad. SO if you’re not moving more than likely the fluids are getting stagnant. I’ve never seen anything good come out of stagnant water.
So stand up straight, take a deep breath, a tall glass of water and get a massage. Your body will enjoy being the optimal epitome of health.
Massage Therapy creates a nice, safe, relaxing place
Tuesday, March 23rd, 2010“Massage?! Who me? No way! I love being uptight, stressed out, bordering on stroking out at any second, and putting my body through the wringer on a daily basis! That’s where the excitement is.” Seriously though wouldn’t you like a nice quiet, warm, relaxing place, where you could truly and deeply relax even for just an hour? I know where you can get that, right here in St. Cloud. Yes, I know you have heard that massage is relaxing but you don’t have time for it. It costs too much, or my favorite excuse, How can I trust the therapist not to …”touch” me.
Well, It IS my profession to touch you, to work the soft tissue. It is my ethics and professionalism to work only the appropriate tissue. It is a no judgment zone. I don’t care if you are emaciated (REALLY REALLY THIN), overweight (I think everyone knows this when they see it), or somewhere in between. There are so many physiological functions of where, how, why, what (lather, rinse, repeat) going on that there really is not a lot of space for anything else.
That statement is one that strikes my funny bone more than you can imagine, but I understand the fear. It is said in a variety of different ways, by both men and women, but the feeling is the same. How can they relax when the fear of being violated is lurking. While the Massage Therapy profession and the State of Florida has put many laws into place to protect you, the client, it ultimately falls to personal professional ethics.
From a massage “therapists” point of view it is the furthest thing from my mind when you are on the table. Speaking from my own perspective, when I lay my hands on my client’s body my thoughts go to: are they hot, cold? Is it circulation or do I need to warm the room? Is the circulation in this area good? If not where is the flow blocked? What musculature is in that area? Does the tight musculature in that area correspond to what I saw in their movement when they walked in? How are they breathing? Is the entire rib cage moving, or just part of it? All that assessment and more are constantly going on. Then there is the actually body work, the constant questions and focused thought of the minute differences in tissue placement, temperature, alignment, and circulation demands 100% attention.
The first 15 minutes of a massage for the client is about determining whether the touch being applied is “safe”. My job is to take you through this time of determination while applying therapeutic work. Regular massage shortens this time due to familiarity. But it is still part of the process of relaxing.
SO stand up straight, Take a deep breath, a tall glass of water and relaxxxxxxxx. The water is fine.
Massage Therapy Cures Everything!!
Thursday, March 11th, 2010Massage Therapy can cure all the ills of the world! Now that I have your attention I would like to clarify that statement. There are no “cures” available to my knowledge for anything whether it is in typical western medicine, eastern, complimentary or alternative medicine. But massage therapy helps a variety of conditions you would expect, and even more that you wouldn’t. But first…
